A 2014 RLX. Basically a 30 grand drop in value in a year. And it only has 14 thousand miles on it. And before you ask no there’s nothing wrong with it. Clean title. It’s just, an Acura I guess.

Still would take a new Accord over this.

Agreed. They look good, they’re fully loaded, and they’ll never depreciate as bad as this RLX.

I would take a last gen RL over this.

How is this still $31k? I don’t think I’d pay more than mid-high teens for this car. Ugly and nearly 2 years old...

What kind of person pays $60k or more for this car?

Echoing Scooby. You’re telling me that thing cost SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS?!?! How absolutely off-your-rocker insane would you have to be to buy that?

EDIT: There is no God.

Would need to drop another 5-8k before I even glanced at it. Acura’s fallen so far

I thought the SH-AWD wasn't as it was cracked up to be. It wasn't athletic nor was it sophisticated than a Subaru.

My exact reaction. 55k base, 66k for the top model? I thought they were maybe low 40s. At a year old 31k seems about right.

If I was in the market for a luxury sedan with an automatic transmission, I would seriously consider this. The RL/RLX is actually a very good car. What kills Acura is a lack of snob appeal. And the reason for that is because the brand lacks integrity and doesn’t have any wow-factor.

I don’t care about snob appeal, wow-factor or the brand’s integrity.

Problem is... I prefer hatchbacks, wagons and minivans with manual transmissions. The only automatics I would consider is a full hybrid or a BEV. And even if it’s a hybrid or BEV, I would still want it to be a hatch/wagon/minivan.

The problem may be snob appeal, but over all its appeal in general that Acura lacks. The RLX may be a good luxury sedan. It’s just justifying it over a competitor or even an Accord itself. There’s just nothing about it that says its special other than those LED headlights which are going to prove pricy nightmares for people that buy these things used.

I don’t think anyone does. All of them are either payment trade-ins or lease deals. I can’t see someone picking this over an E class paying with cash money...

LOLOLOLOLO that’s $1k more than a BMW 550!

Hell, for a lease, at 30k for two years (~15k/year), you could get some very nice cars with $1250/month lease payments...

Naaaaah. I know some who would take that deal, but I’m definitely not a ‘keeping up with the jones’ kind of person. I’d prefer ownership over a nice $20k car with $10k/cash still in the bank over saying I drove a nice Audi for a few years or something.

I mean, this car is less than two years old. If someone bought it for anywhere near MSRP (~60k), their losses over that time are huge. Leasing would have been a far better deal.
